Introduction To overcome such coming flaws
of many Video Games as having repetitive gameplay and monotones pace were you
have to do same thing over and over while wishing not to be bound by enforced
limitations, lack of interactivity and movement in the world. Which after a while
makes you loose interest and quit to never play this game ever again. I have created
this concept based on Ideas and Look and Feel of such films as 1965 "The
Great Race", 1956 "Around the world in 80 days", legacy of Jules
Verne, Miyazaki's animation, as well as best in gameplay from "Metal Gear",
"Final Fantasy", and "Star Fox" Name: Big Adventure Type: Racing / Action / Adventure Age Group: 7 to 13 Game look and feel: Fantasy setting Time period: The beginning of the aviation era Location: Earth like fictional world This Game is about Aviators from different countries competing for the Title of World Best Pilot in the Race around the globe. There are several routes player can choose from, various in difficulty. (Easy, Medium and Hard). For example: it is harder to fly over the North Pole rather than crossing the Atlantic Ocean. This will make game exciting for all gamers experts and beginners. Routes are divided into segments that make different levels. Like Moscow-Prague, Prague-Paris Paris-Newfoundland etc., At the beginning of the race once player's vehicle lifted of the ground objective will be to outrun opponents, shoot down other pilots, and avoid attacks and collisions with enemies, collect points and powerups. If your ship finishes first the game continues. Otherwise level needs to be restarted. After
each landing you can do: Under the condition: that you collected enough currency (points) to pay for it. You will need it because of the possible collision with the ground or other vehicles; bad weather conditions or attacks from other pilots. Install
some additional parts on your machine like a big Gun or an engine booster. Some vehicles do not require a lot if any fuel: such as hot air Balloons and Blimps but you will loose speed by choosing it. You can switch to those vehicles if you don't have enough money to buy fuel for your next race. Of cause goal is to stay on faster machine, while collecting as many points as possible to continue using it. If the vehicle runs out of juice in the middle of the race you can try to glide for as long as possible and then still try to finish by pushing, rowing, swimming, even if all other pilots shot-down or got into some kind of trouble with their vehicle the Race is still goes on and whoever reaches finish first before time limit expires will win. Buying items which will help
to complete next race: like night vision goggles, ammunition, field repair kits
as well as selling unnecessary items and equipment Swapping
for better or different kind of ships depending on plot circumstances and earned
points. Finding unconventional ways to complete the race:
List
and Description of some of the Vehicles: Propeller Planes, Blimps,
Hot Air Balloons, Steamboat, Flying
machines with propeller: (Include everything with propeller engine built in) Going to be the main vehicle of the game. Propeller ships will have an advantage in speed, and maneuverability. Lifting capacity will vary on the type of the vehicle. For example: Blimps can carry more cargo then Planes. There will be other qualities unique to each type of vehicle. Planes are difficult targets to hit because of ability to complex maneuvers but when Blimps are more durable to collisions and weapons attacks. Should be used mostly as a back up transportation it gives player an opportunity to continue the level without enough points to refuel or to repair banged-up ship. It can be also re-equipped as any other vehicle in the game. In one of the levels player will have to cross the ocean at night, The Command Tower will not permit flying, because of the night storm. That will leave player with three chooses: wait for improvement of weather, disobeyed the Command Tower orders and gamble with the storm or payoff the Steamboat Captain, who will offer to carry the plane across by water. Choosing the boat will unlock an alternative level with surface base gameplay that include battling pirates, waves and under water rocks. This change of pace will keep player excited. During the race player able too use some surrounding background vehicles to his/her advantage. For example: Train going parallel to direction of the race can be landed on, to save fuel. Also If Train is armed it is possible to use its weapons against other pilots. If Locomotive course starts to detour from the direction of the race, player takes off from the roof and continuing to finish by air. For some levels player will be giving a chose to continue in a flying vehicle or a car. It is also a second back up vehicle and can be used to race after flying is no longer possible. List and description some of the Characters: Pilots (race participants): They represent the most technologically advance countries of their world Mechanics, Spectators, Merchants, Control Tower and Air Field Staff, Evil Sea Pirates, Evil Foreign Pilots This game can be developed for any latest generation hardware platform. Theme of the game will make it appealing too many. It will be a fun game to play and to develop.
